About Cooking Notes
The content of this notes project has been stored and presented in several ways over the last couple years. First, everything was in random notes on my iPhone. Then, I switched to desktop and wrote everything up in Obsidian notes, with a Clojure script to transform the notes to my statically generated, Hugo, personal site. Then I created cooking.travisshears.com which was a website backed by a custom content management system that allows me to update and curate my cooking notes on the go. The goal is to enable easier managing and presenting of my knowledge around cooking.
cooking.travisshears.com was cool but the CMS there was hard to use and maintaining a second site, cms, and database was too much. Now I’m bringing the site back to travisshears.com/cooking since the site’s migration to Astro.js has made dynamic content easier to handle.
