Pad Kra Pao

What

Sauce:

  • 1 part light soy sauce
  • 0.5 part dark soy sauce
  • 2 parts fish sauce
  • 1.5 parts palm sugar
  • 1 part oyster sause

Rest:

  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 5-7 red Thai chillies
  • 2-3 eggs
  • Hot jasmine rice
  • 3/4 cup long beans(cut into small
  • 1 Ibs ground pork/chicken/beef
  • 2 cups holy basil or Thai Basil

How

  1. Finely mince, garlic and chilies or use mortar and pestle.
  2. Cut beans into 1cm pieces
  3. Start rice
  4. Fry garlic and chili
  5. Add ground meat and fry until brown
  6. Add sause and beans and fry until beans are desired softness.
  7. Add basil and fry another min
  8. Fry egg in separate pan
  9. Serve with rice 🍚 plaited using bowl trick and meat around the mound. Finishing with egg on top. Hopefully yolk is still runny.
