Stuffing

Pretty easy side dish for holiday dinners.

Ingredients

  • 175g butter
  • ~450g stale bread
  • one chopped yellow onion
  • bunch of sliced celery
  • fresh herbs (parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme)
  • big pinch salt
  • pepper
  • chicken broth
  • two eggs

Instructions

  1. Dry out the bread in the oven at 120C. Then let cool.
  2. Fry the onions and celery in butter.
  3. Chop herbs.
  4. Add bread to bowl and combine with veggies and herbs along with salt and pepper.
  5. Drizzle chicken broth and toss gently until soggy but not a mush.
  6. Whisk eggs and with bit of chicken broth and fold into mix.
  7. Add mix to greased baking dish, cover with foil and bake at 180C until center is 70C ~35min
  8. Remove foil and bake until top is brown, another ~30min
