Flammkuchen mit Birne und Gorgonzola
Simple weekday lunch.
Flammkuchen, wiki, apparently has no english translation. In French: tarte flambée. It comes Alsace (part of France along the German border with great vineyards).
What
- Store bought Flammkuchen base
- Creme fraiche, 200g
- Honey
- Salt
- Pepper
- Red onion, 1 big one or a few smaller ones
- Walnuts
- Gorgonzola cheese
- Pear
How
- Preheat oven to 220C
- Unroll the base
- Mix salt, pepper, creme fraiche, and honey together
- Spread the mix on the base
- Cut onions into thin moons and sprinkle across base
- Cut pares into thinish wedges and sprinkle across base
- Crumble / cut cheese into small pieces and sprinkle across base
- Hand crush walnuts and spread across base
- Bake at 220 for ~13min.
