French Toast
Somehow I thought french toast was American. Nope. According to Wikipedia, it is very European.
Bread: I’ve had good luck with my homemade Shokupan (Japanese Milk Bread) recipe for that coming soon.
Custard
- 250ml cream
- 2 eggs
- vanilla extract
- liqueur
- orange zest
- sugar
- nutmeg
- salt
Mix with immersion blender
Toast
- Soak in custard for a good while, ~15min.
- Fry in butter and bit of oil, low and slow.
- Top with whipped salted butter.
