Chashu
Every Raman needs a good meat. My go-to is Chashu made in an Instant Pot.
Ingredients:
- 2 Pounds Skinless Pork Belly, cut into two pieces
- 3 Green Onions, cut into thirds
- 2 inch Fresh Ginger, peeled and cut into slices
- ½ Cup Sake
- ½ Cup Japanese Soy Sauce
- ⅓ Cup Sugar
- ¾ Cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon neutral tasting Vegetable Oil
Steps:
- Sauté on High with bit of olive oil sear fat side down first ~10min total
- Pressure cook on high for 65min with natural release
- Refrigerate min 6 hours
- Pan fry slices before serving
