Steamed fish (Cantonese style)
Love this recipe. It’s super hard to find good fish recipes. I don’t want anything too intense that covers up the fish flavor, or takes a healthy meal turns it not so much. This recipe fits those requirements. Yum.
What
The Fish:
- white fish fillets
- Shaoxing Chinese cooking wine
- Salt
- Ginger, some thin slices and julienned
- Green onions , some 3cm pieces and julienned
The Sauce:
- Light soy sauce
- Sugar
- Sesame oil
- Sesame seeds
How
Salt the fish and marinade in cooking wine while you prep other ingredients.
Prep veggies. Both slices and Julian ginger 🫚 and cut green onion into thirds and also Julian some.
Steam fish on plait with ginger slices, green onion pieces, and fish stacked in that order. ~10min
Once done plait and add sause. Top with veggies and pour hot oil over the veggies giving them a little cook.
