<--- all divesPADI Open Water Course
Do we like scuba diving? This May Masha and I took a trip to Vrsar to find out, see related blog post. Short answer is yes but damn the Adriatic is cold. We took our open water course through Starfish diving center. All six dives of the course were taken open water. Five in the bay in front of the center and one around corner on the reef wall Koversada. We got really lucky to have a great instructor, Raymond Hermans. All the thanks to him for making it a great course.
Notes
- 7mm wetsuit with hood is suitable for 14deg water for 25-30min.
- rented everything including computers.
- the max depth of the bay was around 14m but had a challenge to see who could hit 18.0m exactly on Koversada.
- hardest skill test was taking mask off at 10m depth and swimming 5m side ways trying not to breath though nose as air bubbles come out of regulator
- breathing off broken mouth peice is weird but works
- most of the dives around Vrsar are wrecks starting at 25m so we should come back when we are qualified to go deeper.
