Looking to reduce my server costs; right now I have a bunch of fly.io machines running, a VPC instance, and bunch of AWS stuff. Looking at self hosting on a raspberry pi. Was just going to do a simple docker compose with nginx over it and Let’s Encrypt, but dokku looks intriguing:

Finally got my "dream" Unifi home network setup.

Previously, I had the network config server running on my Mac. This was crap and locked out several times. Now, thanks to a used cloud key purchase, config is a breeze. Also added another network switch with eight more ports.

The Bear season one. It opened too chaotic for me but I stuck with it and enjoyed. Smile every time I see a cooking instrument I own, like: deli containers or micro plane.

Working on backing up photos to my NAS today. Came across a nice tool to remove duplicates: jdupes, https://codeberg.org/jbruchon/jdupes

Run this to delete duplicates in the current folder:

jdupes -dN .

As a new father I’m leaning more towards one shots and small campaigns. DnD 5e is alright, but pretty complicated for new players; I’ve feel I enjoyed 3.5 more. Having always wanted to try the more hardcore older RPGs, I’m looking for something new in fantasy setting. Shadowdark seems to accomplishes both streamlining and upping the ante. Really want to try it out.
