Some nice improvements coming to pip but I still think python dependency management / virtual environment stuff is a mess. https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/user_guide/

Seen so many beginners get stuck with setting up dev env.

Up and running with reading RSS feeds on iOS. Bought Reader 5, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/reeder-5/id1529445840 then exported my RSS feed list to OPML via https://opml-gen.ovh Airdropped to phone and imported to the app. Lot easier reading then the newsboat cli app i hadn’t opened in months.

It’s been two years here in Munich with no microwave. 🤔 I think it encourages healthy eating habits. Ex. Homemade popcorn vs microwave chemical soup 🍿

@flip something to be said for AAA games. Indie games are great but something about massive budget and army of environment artists is 👌👌👌

For recording I use OBS. The scenes are easy to setup and very customizable. I place screen and webcam feeds side by side to make one video. Also nice is the audio gating feature that allows the mic to not activate until a certain decibel lvl reducing background noise.

Afterwards I do some light video editing in DaVinci Resolve. Ex overlay webcam feed with screen and keyframe opacity it away for bulk of video. My mic is pretty quiet so I also adjust the audio which is super easy ask it has a average audio readout to adjust to.

Thanks it! Quick and relatively painless. Both softwares are free so as long as your computer can handle DaVinci go for it!

Made a screencast today for work and some coworkers asked me about what software I use. Thought I’d share info here too. Work from home skills!

@lightweight as someone who works in tech could not agree more. Online voting is a no go. Lot of magazines have online voting for prizes and stuff which I’ve seen easily hacked as well.

That is more of an advanced book. If you are only going to read one book on alpine climbing. Make it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountaineering:_The_Freedom_of_the_Hills

After leading a party though 3-5 UIAA grade terrain last weekend getting my base knowledge up. Started reading The Mountain Guide Manual. Lot of detailed info on different techniques for this more scrambling style of alpine climbing.

Starting using iPhone as my daily driver few days ago and wow. After years of Android this feels so good.

Keyboard is way smoother. Somehow it just types better even though I’ve only used it for few days. Everything is less cluttered...

Feeling guilty it is so good.
